John C. Calhoun: Scaring Children in South Carolina Since the 19th Century
Time Magazine named him one of the worst VPs in history; he so badly wanted to be Vice President that he secretly offered his support to two presidential candidates, John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson.

The Founding Fathers: The Original Partiers in the USA
Just ask Benjamin Franklin, who once said, "Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." Also, according to the Huffington Post, "In 1787, two days before they signed off on the Constitution, the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention partied at a tavern. According to the bill preserved from the evening, they drank 54 bottles of Madeira, 60 bottles of claret, eight of whiskey, 22 of porter, eight of hard cider, 12 of beer and seven bowls of alcoholic punch." Partiers indeed.

Postings!
Dear Readers,
Though there are few of you, thank you for checking in to see my silly and eccentric postings! My goal is to update the blog five days a week with new pictures and captions. Eventually, with some help from friends, I plan to include song lyrics as well.
How funny would it be to imagine Thomas Paine rapping to the tune of a T-Pain song? Or, Catherine of Aragon singing, to the tune of Cee-Lo's Forget You, "Well the baby in my belly just wasn't enough, so forget you, and forget her too"?
Thanks again for the readership! I want this site to be interactive; a place to nerd out. Please feel free to comment, offer suggestions, and rate the postings. Please share with friends and share the blog posts other places. I look forward to hearing from y'all. Enjoy my zaniness!
